The
“Canto del Mirlo” (The Blackbird’s Song) is a
traditional farmhouse from the Losa Valley, a plateau 700m above
sea level, offering extensive horizons and pure, clean air for your
health.
This guest house is in the village of Villabasil.
The farmhouse has three floors, and it is the ground floor which
is for rent. The owners live on the first floor and the top floor
is an open plan work studio.
The front door to the accommodation is south-facing and leads to
the old stables which have been fully done up to provide comfortable
rural accommodation for up to 5/7 visitors from around the world.
Interior:
2 bedrooms: One in the southwest with 4 beds; a double bed (or 2
single beds) and a bunk bed, with its own en suite bathroom (shower).
The other bedroom is in the southeast, with 2 single beds (possibility
of an additional bed) and en suite bathroom (bath).
The new kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, washing machine,
dishes, cutlery, etc. Off the kitchen (open plan) is the lounge-dining
room which occupies the central area of the house. The lounge is
equipped with a double sofa bed and TV/DVD, broadband WIFI connection,
board games and a large selection of English and Spanish books for
adults and kids.
The house has full central heating throughout.
Exterior:
To the south, opposite the front door, is the private field with
fruit trees, vegetable garden, pond and children’s play area.
To the north, outside the backdoor, is the terrace with barbeque
and garden furniture.

Native Spanish and English speakers.
Local
produce:
Goats cheese, honey, marmalade, eggs, suckling lamb, pottery, paintings,
etc.
